Recently Issued Patent: The use of Eomesodermin (Eomes) to determine risk of allogrant rejection
Lead inventor, Mohamed Ezzelarab, and Co-inventor, Angus Thomson - - Eomesodermin (Eomes) is a T-box transcription factor that is critical for the development of memory T cells. Lack of Eomes expression results in poor responses and reduced long-term survival of memory T cells. Evaluation of Eomes expression by recipient donor-reactive T cells before and after transplantation may predict the risk of allograft rejection.
Congratulations to Drs. Ezzelarab and Thomson on this invention!
